Visibility: A visibility of 20 m / 65 ft is the most common at Abu Tinun.

Depth: Abu Tinun has a typical depth range of 20 to 50 feet / 6 to 15 meters.

Water temperature: The water temperatures at Abu Tinun will depend on season. The coldest month for scuba divers is February with water temperatures generally around 20° C / 68°F. After the warm Egyptian summer temperatures will usually have risen to about 27° C / 81° F in September.

Dive site information: Abu Tinun is found between Tiran Isand and Sinafar Island. The dive site consists of a sandy shelf and lots of coral heads. The coral heads feature overhangs and caves.

Marine life: Lots of coral heads and sea grasses, and even a few black coral trees. The coral heads are used as cleaning stations where you can encounter jacks, large groupers and sweetlips. The black coral trees are inhabited by longnose hawkfish and the sea grasses are filled with seahorses, cuttlefish, stingrays and eels.
