Dive site information: Beacon Rock is situated at the south side of the Ras Muhammed Peninsula and is a part of the National Park of Ras Muhammed. The area is most famous for the Dunraven wreck, a steam freighter that sank here in 1876, on her way from Bombay to Liverpool. Except for the wreck, Beacon Rock features a wall that you can swim down along to reach the wreck. Be aware of strong currents.

Marine life: Scuba diving at Beacon Rock / Dunraven Wreck is first and foremost a wreck dive, but the wreck has also attracted some interesting marine life. For example, the anchor chain of the wreck is covered in beautiful corals. There are also some large Red Scorpionfish and around the boilers you can see thousands of Glassfish – Vanikoro Sweepers.
