Visibility: The End of the Road Reef has great underwater visibility, averaging 30m / 100 ft.

Depth: The depths at the End of the Road Reef varies a great deal, from 3 to 65+ m / 10 to 213+ ft.

Water temperature: Water temperatures around End of the Road Reef will change with the seasons, from 20° C /68° F in February to 27° C / 81° F in September.

Dive site information: This is one of the healthiest and most pristine reefs in the whole region, partly due to its inaccessibility. The onshore winds make entry and exit very hard, and even experience divers are frequently hurt at the End of the Road Reef. Before deciding to go scuba diving here, take into account that hospitals and doctors will be far away if you are hurt and take proper precautions.

The End of the Road Reef is located around a submerged island. The island is situated around 10-15 m / 33-50 ft offshore, with its highest point in 3 m / 10 ft of water. A deep canyon extends along the south side, reaching down to below 65 m/ 213 ft. The reef is separated from the shore by a narrow sandy channel, comparatively shallow with its bottom at no more than 10 m /33 ft. If you follow the channel you will see it broaden and reach a sandy plateau to the north of the reef. The east side of the reef provides wall diving. A steep sloping wall extends down to below 50 m / 164 ft.

Marine life: The corals at the End of the Road Reef is extremely healthy and in an extraordinary state of preservation. The covering is phenomenal and the diversity astonishing. The End of the Road Reef is unquestionably one of the least harmed reefs in the area. The healthy corals are accompanied by an abundance of fish, with all the typical reef dwellers represented en masse. For example, the End of the Road Reef is home to the widest range of different wrasse species in the whole Sinai region.
