Dive site information: This dive site derives its name from the lighthouse in Dehab bay, and is located just offshore from the Lighthouse. The Lighthouse dive site has depths suitable for every diver. There is a sloping reef that extends to the north and encircles a protruding piece of the mainland. This part of the Lighthouse dive site has a very nice layout and profile, but has become a bit worn. You can look at some pretty impressive pinnacles here before the reef turns into a broad, featureless slope. Proceed further north and this sand slope gives way to a second sloping coral wall. The north part of the reef is generally much healthier than the southern part. This second reef slope features a flat reeftop located in around 4 m/ 13 ft of water. The lower limit is about 20 m / 65 ft. A shallow lagoon is to be found at the southern edge of the reeftop.

Marine life: Both the north and the south part of the Lighthouse reef have a lot a secondary coral growth. The background consists of a visible base of skeletal corals and is covered in live coral patches. There are hard coral as well as soft ones, with the north part of the reef being more diverse than the south. Fish life is a bit sparse, but quite diverse and especially the shallow lagoon is home to a lot of different fish species. Animal life around Lighthouse includes wrasse, lionfish, surgeonfish, rock cod, trumpetfish, parrotfish and rays. Turtles are also frequently observed around Lighthouse.
