Dive site information: The East Coast of the Rocky Island is a very nice dive site, with many possibilities. There are sheer walls as well as open plateaux, and the under water world is constantly affected by the strong currents. You can start your dive at the south-eastern point part of the Rocky Island and drift to the east coast. A shelf is jutting out from the reef wall at 25 m / 80 ft, and is commonly referred to as the “shark theatre”. If you stay above it, you can often see several types of sharks.

Marine life: Lush coral playgrounds with Dendronephthya and Xeniid corals are a part of the East Coast seascape, and loads of fish live at the East Coast of the Rocky Island, from hammerhead sharks to tiny colourful reef fish. There are some beautiful branching corals in the inshore shallows, right between the southeast corner and a mooring point. You can also see a lot of different stony corals at the East Coast of the Rocky Island, such as cabbage, plate, fire coral and Acropora.
