Dive site information: Siyul Seghira means “Little Siyul” in Arabic, but this is actually a quite large reef, more than 4 km /2.5 miles long. Scuba divers usually enter at the exposed north side of the spit and allow them selves to be transported by the current along the reef. The main body of the reef is very shallow to the south, around 3 m / 10 ft. The south part is therefore more popular among snorklers than scuba divers. The reef spit is deeper and has good coral coverage down to at least 20 m / 65 ft.

Marine life: The shallow south part of the reef has some quite nice and dense coral growth. The reef spit also has some very colourful and tightly packed hard and soft corals deeper down, from a variety of species. Fish life is diverse and since there is open water close the reef, pelagic species are often spotted.
