Depth: The average depth at the Woodhouse Reef is 15 / 50 ft, but the maximum depth exceeds 40 m / 130 ft.

Water temperature: The water temperatures around the Woodhouse Reef will change with the seasons, and vary from approximately 20° C (68°F) in February to around 27° C (81° F) in September.

Dive site information: Woodhouse Reef is found between the Gordon Reef and the Jackson reef. Woodhouse reef is quite long and runs at an angel from north-east to south-west. The steepest part of the reef is located below 25 m / 80 ft. Most scuba divers at Woodhouse Reef choose to do a drift dive along the east side of the reef.

Marine life: There is a lot of different coral types growing at Woodhouse Reef, but since the reef is situated very sheltered and away from any larger current the coral growth is somewhat affected by sedimentation. Coral growth is still very good and dense. Pelagic fish species at the Woodhouse Reef include jacks, tuna and large schools of trevally. The reef is inhabited by unicorns, snapper, surgeons and fusilier – just to mention a few species.
